Infrastructure plans put on hold as Queensland decides on its new GovernmentInfrastructure plans have been put on hold as Queensland decides on it's new State Government. If there is a change of Government to the Labor Party then Queensland residents could be waiting up to a year before Labor voices which projects will be supported by the new Government.

Labor to set up a new infrastructure plan for Queensland
Labor has voiced its support of the Queens Wharf Brisbane Development Project. However, some projects such as the Underground Bus and Train (BaT) Project have yet to be decided on. The new Governemnt hopes to set up a new infrastructure plan for QLD ("Building Queensland") within the next 12 months.

Queensland Labor Government supports the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing Project
The new Queensland Labor Government voices its support for the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing Project. More information has been requested from the tenders, however this shouldn't delay the project schedule.

Echo Entertainment-led consortium wins bid against Crown Resorts for new Queens Wharf Brisbane Development
Echo Entertainment-led consortium wins bid against Crown Resorts for new Queens Wharf Brisbane Development. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk mentioned that the use of the public space put forward by Echo's consortium was a key factor in their victory. This new development is said to "do what South Bank did for Brisbane 30 years ago".

TransPosition's paper "Autonomous Vehicles - What Could This Mean For The Future Of Transport?" won best paper in the Transport and Land Use Modelling section at the AITPM National Conference 2015
The following paper was recently presented at the AITPM National Conference 2015 and won the award for best paper in the Transport and Land Use Modelling session. The paper addresses current progress and direction for autonomous vehicles, what this could mean for the future of transport and the possible analytical approaches to addressing these impacts. It also includes some initial modelling of autonomous vehicle impacts in Brisbane, using TransPosition’s 4S Model.

TransPosition engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads for Autonomous Vehicle sensitivity modelling
In mid November 2015 TransPosition was engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads to undertake sensitivity modelling for Autonomous Vehicles. TransPosition was commissioned after their work was presented at the 2015 AITPM National Conference.
TransPosition has been engaged by TransLink and TMR to assist in the SEQ Fare Review
TransPosition employee, Anabelle Spinoulas, will be working with TransLink and the Department of Transport and Main Roads over the next few months on the SEQ Fare Review Project.
