TransPosition Reviews New England Highway Upgrade

In February, TransPosition was commissioned to review the current Department of Transport and Main Roads upgrade plans for a section of the New England Highway beetween Hampton and Geham, north of Toowoomba. Working as part of a team, lead by the RPS Group (formerly Conics) in Toowomba, TransPosition has examined many aspects of the upgrade, including road safety, economics, design standards, drainage and the needs of cyclists. The review is to be finalised by mid March.

Main Roads Minister endorses Hampton to Geham Review

The recent review that TransPosition did of the New England Highway upgrade between Hampton and Geham (as part of a team lead by Conics) has been well received by the Minister, the RACQ, SAVE and the Greens and by the Toowoomba Regional Council. The minister's press release can be found here here and coverage from the Toowoomba Chronicle is here.
The report itself can be downloaded from Main Roads website here.

TransPosition's work provided the key element of the review - the analysis of the Main Roads design, examination of the safety and economic issues with the road, and the development of a new design that better matches the community's values.
