Peter provided the key modelling input to a multi-disciplinary team that undertook a thorough review of the proposed Toowoomba Bypass. The modelling was done using TransPosition’s 4S model, which was updated to include a comprehensive multi-industry commercial vehicle model. A detailed tolling analysis was performed, and the modelling results fed into both a financial model and an economic evaluation. The modelling also included analysis of the impact on the local road network, and the findings of this analysis led to a modified design. The work was done with an accelerated time-frame, with less than 6 months from model development through to submission of the final report.
