TransPosition Tolling Demand were engaged as traffic advisors to Abertis Infrastructuraes on the sale of Melbourne's EastLink. This involved updating and diligent calibration of a multimodal Greater Melbourne wide TPACS model against key public and private data sources including the Victorian Integrated Survey of Travel and Activity, VicRoads Traffic Volumes data, and Google travel times. Long term traffic projections were prepared between 2023 and 2051 with a variety of network options, alternative macro-economic and demographic scenarios considered. These outputs were converted through a bespoke Excel-based post-processor to serve as inputs into a financial model.
